Hello,
1 month ago I was trying to reinstall a driver that I though I've lost. My printer is a HP 8050 series. When promptly checking All Programs - Printers and faxes, the printer logo seems there and ready to use. When I've accidentally downloaded the second driver the problem started to happened. Starting up my computer I got this annoying pop up. Welcome to the Found new Hardware . Even though the driver was initially installed.
Honestly, I've been having this problem since 1 month ago. I've tried everything I could think off. Going from forums to blogs. Going to my own Device Manager entries with yellow marks disabling and de-installed the driver? Also trying to delete the registry key (courtesy of Microsoft).Couldn't even get rid of it? A lot of people had similar issues with the Welcome Found new Hardware...but nothing seemed to worked for them?
Although my problem persisted, I partly fixed the problem when I decided to deactivate one USB Root Hub. Well right after booting, no popping up seemed too appeared on my desktop. Surprisingly enough my printer wasn't printing any more? So I knew I had to reactive the USB Root Hub to get the printer working again. And surely enough when I've activated the USB Hub the popping up Wizard appeared again simultaneously??
There is definitely a conflict somehow? . I believe it must be USB issue actually causing this misconfiguration in windows registry.
So after spending hours and hours trying to find a possible solution, I've stumbled on HARDWARE ANALYSE. I surely hope someone with more experience could help and resolved this issue that had bothered me ever since.
I hope this example will help and serve others people dealing with the same issue.
As for my Device Instance ID here is the description:
USB/VID_03F0&PID_C102&M1_01/6&3B5F106&080001
Thank you so much for your help and support, I do appreciate it
